Friday Jan. 6. 2012 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Author Dana Fast will share her life experiences and sign copies of her newly released memoir, My 9 Lives, at the Left Bank Café, 36 Broadway in Saranac Lake on Friday, January 6th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

My 9 Lives is the story of Dana Fast, who is well known in the community as a Master Gardener Volunteer. But many don't know that Dana was born as Lilka Miron into a middle-class, urban, secular Jewish family in Warsaw, Poland. She was 8 when the Germans entered Poland and spent 1940-42 in the Warsaw Ghetto. After a daring escape, she spent the rest of the war in a series of hiding places under different assumed identities. Her wartime experiences shaped her life philosophy. Dana settled in the Adirondacks almost 40 years ago. She loves the area, the people, and is very active in the community.

Meet the author and buy a book. 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Registration not required.
